Teacher Aide

Description

Our Lady of Hope Catholic School is seeking a full-time classroom teacher aide to assist the teacher in conducting classroom exercises, tutor students, and maintain order in classroom, cafeteria and on playground.

Responsibilities:

• •Implement activities and opportunities to encourage children's curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving.
• •Provide care for students' physical, social, and emotional needs while promoting and modeling the mission of the Catholic Church.
• •Assist the lead classroom teacher in preparing materials, directing activities, and caring for each student while encouraging spiritual and mental growth to ensure proper development.
• •Participate in and complete required training through professional development opportunities.
• •Demonstrate professionalism, including confidentiality, when working with administration, staff, parents, and children while promoting positive relationships and effectively communicating with others.
• •Lead children to meet high behavior standards
• •Supervise children indoors and outdoors.
• •Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children.
• •Perform other duties as assigned by the building administration.

Requirements:

• •Be an active member of a faith community and be a model of the teachings of Jesus.
• •Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.
• •Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred but not required.
