St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School in West Dundee is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time classroom aide to join our preschool team. Essential Job Functions:

• •Support the Teacher in providing developmentally appropriate early childhood education experiences across various subjects, including religion, art, music, literacy, science, and mathematics.
• •Assist in supervising activities that promote the health, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child, aligning with Diocesan goals and objectives.
• •Maintain a neat, safe, and organized classroom environment and assist in the upkeep of all educational equipment and materials.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• •Practicing Catholic preferred with knowledge of Catholic prayers, holidays, and teachings.
• •Ability to organize and coordinate work effectively with the teacher.
• •Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
• •Commitment to self-evaluation and professional growth.
• •Professionalism in attire, communication, and demeanor.

Job Summary:

• •Hours: Ranges from 2 to 3 Days per week, Full or Half Day Options
• •Position: Part-time, unbenefited
• •Pay rate range: $15 - $20 per hour

• •Reports to: Classroom Teacher and School Principal

Qualifications and Requirements:

• •High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or experience in childcare/education preferred.
• •Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
• •Demonstrated patience, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills.
• •Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with school staff.
• •Must pass a background check and meet all state and diocesan requirements for working with children.
• •CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Working Conditions:

• •Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.
• •Requires the ability to lift to 25 lbs.
• •Requires outdoor supervision in various weather conditions.
• •Works well in a team setting with one more teacher
