Responsibilities
(1) Sales Management and Business Development
- Lead and drive team sales performance, leveraging needs-based selling and service compliance to achieve branch business objectives and targets.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to identify unique branch opportunities and implement innovative sales initiatives.
- Oversee the execution of call activities and weekly sales planning aligned with the Relationship Management Model to meet growth and retention targets.
- Prioritize staff sales activities and conduct regular performance reviews to maximize sales capacity and effectiveness.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic business and social contacts to foster business development, enhance market penetration, and expand the customer base.
- Conduct RI regulated activities and TR insurance activities.
- Analyze customer feedback and market intelligence, providing recommendations to the District Head on competitive situations and opportunities.
(2) People Management and Development
- Optimize branch resource deployment to maximize team productivity.
- Identify training needs for sales and operations staff, providing coaching and development to meet performance standards.
- Supervise daily staff performance and ensure adherence to disciplinary guidelines.
- Foster staff development and career advancement through clear, prompt communication, regular briefings, ongoing motivation, feedback, coaching, and on-the-job training.
- Build trust and morale within the branch team, addressing staff issues fairly and effectively.
- Support the development of trainees and new joiners, ensuring comprehensive in-branch orientation.
- Liaise with the Branch Manager to attract, develop, and retain high-performing sales staff.
(3) Customer Experience Management
- Champion exceptional customer experience by guiding sales and operations staff to meet Bank service standards, models, and achieve target satisfaction levels in customer surveys.
- Address customer needs promptly and resolve complaints tactfully, adhering to the Bank’s Complaint Handling and Escalation Procedures.
(4) Audit and Compliance Control
- Oversee all sales activities to ensure strict adherence to external regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies, including but not limited to sales staff licensing, KYC, FNA, PDPO, anti-money laundering, and complete documentation for account opening and transactions.
- Enhance control and compliance quality within sales and branch operations through strong leadership, continuous education, ongoing monitoring, and effective remedial actions.
- Ensure compliance with registered capacity and all conditions imposed by the HKMA, including the applicable requirements of the Code of Conduct for Persons Licensed by or Registered with the SFC.
Requirement
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in consumer banking at an executive level, with at least 3 years in sales management.
- Experience in wealth management products, especially Investment & Insurance, is highly valued.
- Degree holder, preferably in business or finance related discipline;
- Must be registered RI [ Regulated Activities: Type 1 & 4] with passes in HKSI Licensing Examination Papers 1, 7 & 8; or equivalent; and
- Must be registered TR [General & Long Term (incl. linked long term)] with passes in IIQE papers 1, 2, 3 & 5; or equivalent.
- Preferably be registered CI – CRWP (ECF-RWM)
- CFP and CFA designation would be an advantage.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English is required.
