Technical Architect - Data Governance, Manta, Data lineage

We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect with 9-12 years of experience and strong expertise in Data Governance, Data Lineage, Metadata Management, and Manta. The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, lineage solutions, metadata management processes, and data quality initiatives across complex data ecosystems.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement enterprise-wide Data Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and best practices.

Lead the implementation and administration of Manta Data Lineage solutions across multiple data platforms and applications.

Establish and maintain end-to-end data lineage to provide visibility into data movement, transformations, and dependencies.

Define and enforce metadata management strategies, standards, and processes across the organization.

Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Governance teams to ensure effective data governance adoption.

Build and maintain lineage integrations across databases, ETL tools, BI/reporting platforms, cloud platforms, and data warehouses.

Perform impact analysis and root cause analysis using lineage information to support change management and regulatory requirements.

Drive data quality initiatives, including profiling, monitoring, remediation, and governance controls.

Establish data stewardship, data ownership, and accountability models across business domains.

Support compliance requirements related to data governance, data privacy, risk management, and regulatory audits.

Define governance operating models, processes, and KPIs to improve data management maturity.

Work closely with business stakeholders to identify critical data elements and ensure data assets are properly governed.

Architect metadata repositories, data catalogs, and lineage solutions to improve data discovery and transparency.

Evaluate and recommend data governance tools, technologies, and architectural solutions.

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to governance and engineering teams.

Participate in enterprise architecture discussions and align governance initiatives with overall data strategy.

Drive automation of metadata harvesting, lineage extraction, and governance workflows.

Support cloud-based and on-premise data ecosystems, ensuring governance consistency across environments.

Technical requirements

9-12 years of overall IT experience.

Strong experience in Data Governance and Metadata Management.

Hands-on experience with Manta Data Lineage.

Expertise in Data Lineage, Impact Analysis, Data Cataloging, and Data Quality.

Strong SQL and Data Warehousing concepts.

Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage, Talend, Ab Initio, SSIS.

Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Teradata, Netezza.

Strong stakeholder management and architectural design experience.
