The Role
Who We Are
At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. We are always moving forward — pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.
In our AI Led Application Modernization team this is especially true. We’re a relatively new part of Kyndryl and operate with a startup mentality. We know that the way that software is created, maintained, modernized, and deployed is changing and we have the opportunity to build a team that’s aligned to the future. We are leveraging AI and new partnerships to help companies our clients sprint towards the future.
The Role and Responsibilities
Kyndryl is seeking a hands-on Technical Leader in OSS (Architect) to help build and execute on some new services. We’ve recently created a strategic partnership with an Open Source Software (OSS) provider and are looking for an architect to help us expand our joint offerings. You will work with our new partner, consult leadership, existing consult practices, and clients to identify and develop the services that will bring this partnership to life. Among your responsibilities will be:
- Get to know the technology of our partner and the applicable service offerings to identify places where synergy can benefit our clients.
- Work on a very technical level to define and harden those offerings with our consulting practice and our partner’s software engineers.
- Work with our alliance and industry leadership teams to craft the value statements of these offerings and ensure that Kyndryl customer partners and consult partners know how to articulate this value to their clients.
- Work with clients both before and after the sale to ensure the offerings create value.
This role is both hands-on and leadership-oriented. You will roll up your sleaves on implementation projects, mentor other consultants, participate in pre-sales activities, and help drive change in our business.
Who You Are
You are passionate about open source software, customer success, and collaboration. You have a history of not only understanding the technical details, but being able to explain them to the business. You know how to write software, but you also know how to figure out where it should run. You have experience with cloud, containers, orchestration, and the edge.
You are excited by the changes coming to software development. You have a growth mindset, actively experiment with AI-assisted development tools, and are interested in creating practical agents, workflows, and engineering practices that help teams build, understand, modernize, and operate software more effectively.
Kyndryl currently does not require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, however, if you are hired to work at a client, customer, or partner location, you may be required to show proof of vaccination to align with their respective COVID-19 vaccination policies. Those who believe they are eligible may apply for a medical or religious accommodation prior to the start of employment.
Who You Are
Why Kyndryl:
We’re a purpose-driven company committed to innovation and empowering our people. Here, your work contributes to meaningful outcomes for clients and communities.
Your Future at Kyndryl
Every position at Kyndryl offers a way forward to grow your career. We have opportunities that you won’t find anywhere else, including hands-on experience, learning opportunities, and the chance to certify in all four major platforms. Whether you want to broaden your knowledge base or narrow your scope and specialize in a specific sector, you can find your opportunity here.
You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to provide it. However, equally as important – you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. You are customer-focused – someone who prioritizes customer success in your work. And finally, you’re open and borderless – naturally inclusive in how you work with others.
