Second Foundation is an international energy trading and asset management firm headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic, with offices in Switzerland, Germany, Japan and the US. Our team of 500 plus professionals specializes in power trading, transforming complex data into market-leading trading strategies through advanced technology and sophisticated quantitative modelling.

We are looking for a curious and structured Technical Sales Support Specialist to join our team in Berlin, supporting our direct marketing and flexibility portfolio and helping us connect renewable generation and flexible energy assets to electricity markets. You will work with customers and internal teams to onboard assets, monitor their operation, resolve performance issues, and keep asset data accurate . You will also help us improve and automate the processes behind this work

What would you work on?

Support asset onboarding and monitoring: Coordinate onboarding requirements, collect and validate technical information, and monitor asset availability, connectivity and operational performance.

Follow through on issues: Work with customers and internal teams to investigate issues affecting asset performance. Track actions and responsibilities, keep stakeholders informed, and follow up until resolution.

Co-own asset data: Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date information in our asset management system together with the relevant teams.

Cooperate on market communication: Handle asset-related market communication with authorities (DSOs, TSOs), track deadlines and responses, and coordinate the resolution of discrepancies with relevant market participants and internal colleagues.

Improve and automate processes: Identify recurring tasks and sources of error, contribute to better workflows and documentation, and cooperate on automation using data, software and AI tools.

What makes you a great candidate?

A university degree in a STEM discipline, such as engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics.

An interest in the energy industry and a willingness to learn how renewable generation, flexibility and electricity markets work.

Curiosity and an open mind: you enjoy understanding how systems work, investigating discrepancies, asking useful questions, and exploring new approaches .

A structured approach, attention to detail and the ability to manage several open topics through to completion.

Numerical literacy: you are comfortable with basic calculations and checking whether results make sense, and ready to develop an understanding of balancing costs, profit and loss ( PnL ) and their relationship to asset performance as you gain experience

Fluent English and German.

Basic computer programming and data skills, particularly Python and SQL, and proficiency with standard office software.

An affinity for AI tools and an interest in applying them to everyday work, analysis and process automation, with a critical eye for the quality of their outputs.

Previous exposure to technical topics such as power plant connections, metering, SCADA, or remote control is a plus.

Previous experience with electricity market communication, including MPES, GPKE, MaBiS or EDIFACT, is a plus.
