Role Overview

Academian is seeking an experienced Techno-Functional Consultant – Ellucian Colleague Finance to support a higher education data migration initiative. The consultant will play a key role in preparing financial data for migration by supporting data review, cleansing, mapping, and validation activities.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Ellucian Colleague Finance and a strong understanding of its Finance module screens, functionality, and financial data structures. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can identify data quality issues, support data mapping activities, and collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to ensure data is ready for migration.

Key Responsibilities

Work hands-on with Ellucian Colleague Finance and demonstrate a strong understanding of Finance module screens and functionality.
Review existing financial data to identify inconsistencies, duplicates, missing information, and other data quality issues.
Support data cleansing and preparation activities ahead of the planned migration.
Assist with mapping financial data from the existing system to the target system.
Identify data discrepancies and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to support resolution.
Document data review findings, cleansing requirements, mapping rules, and outstanding issues.
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to validate data accuracy and completeness.
Support migration readiness activities and help ensure financial data aligns with project requirements and timelines.

Required Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Ellucian Colleague Finance.
Strong understanding of Finance module screens, functionality, and financial data structures.
Experience in data review, data cleansing, and data mapping for system migration projects.
Ability to identify data quality issues, investigate discrepancies, and support resolution.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Willingness and ability to travel to North Carolina for the required onsite periods.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting data migration initiatives in higher education.
Familiarity with university finance operations and financial data management.
Experience collaborating with functional and technical teams on data validation and migration preparation.
