Teller Supervisor

Retail Banking | Full-time | Non-exempt

Savers Bank is looking for a Teller Supervisor who combines strong banking skills with a positive, hands-on approach to leadership. You’ll keep daily teller operations running smoothly, coach your teammates, resolve customer concerns, and help customers discover banking solutions that fit their needs.

What you’ll do

Lead by example

  • Train and coach tellers on transactions, products, cash controls, security, and service standards.
  • Coordinate teller schedules, monitor attendance, and provide objective input for performance evaluations.
  • Create a collaborative environment where teammates ask questions, learn, and take responsibility for their work.

Deliver service that builds trust

  • Oversee and process transactions and supervisor overrides accurately and efficiently.
  • Resolve customer questions and escalated concerns with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Assist with account opening, closing, and maintenance, and help customers understand available services.

Turn conversations into opportunities

  • Ask thoughtful questions, recognize customer needs, and recommend relevant products or connect customers with the right banking partner.
  • Coach tellers to identify referral opportunities and contribute to branch sales and relationship goals.
  • Help the team deliver recommendations that earn trust and support lasting customer relationships.

Keep operations secure and organized

  • Oversee teller drawer and vault balancing, cash recycler activity, and cash orders and returns.
  • Follow dual control procedures for vault, ATM, and other assigned activities.
  • Verify customer identity and funds availability, maintain accurate records, and stay alert to fraud and security concerns.
  • Support audits, protect customer information, and help troubleshoot or escalate banking system issues.

Requirements

What you’ll bring

  • At least three years of experience at a bank or credit union, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong cash handling, transaction processing, and customer service skills.
  • The ability to coach others, handle difficult conversations, and set a consistent example.
  • Confidence identifying customer needs and supporting product recommendations, referrals, and branch goals.
  • Comfort with banking software, customer relationship systems, and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent. College coursework or a degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.

This position reports to the Assistant Branch Manager .

Work setting

This role involves frequent movement throughout the branch, periods of standing, computer work, and handling cash and documents. It may include occasional lifting of items under 20 pounds, adjustments to work hours, and travel to other branches or events.
