Senior Accountant – Public Practice (Remote)

Key Responsibilities

Prepare compilation engagements (CSRS 4200) and year-end working papers for private companies

Prepare corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns, including HST filings

Review bookkeeping prepared by junior staff and resolve reconciliation issues

Communicate directly with clients to gather information and explain results

Support the manager on tax planning files and CRA correspondence

Mentor junior accountants and review their work

A successful candidate will have

CPA designation (or completion of the CPA Professional Education Program with the CFE written)

3+ years of Canadian public accounting experience with private companies

Hands-on experience preparing T2 corporate tax returns

Working knowledge of ASPE

Strong written and spoken English; comfortable leading client calls

Experience with CaseWare, QuickBooks Online and TaxPrep or Profile

Nice to have

Experience with Xero or Dext

Exposure to US cross-border tax

Urdu or Hindi
