Position Status: Regular Part Time Location: Royal Park, Recreation Therapy LTC BW Hours: 69.75 FTE: 0.90 Shift: Days Shift Times: 0900-1715 Union: Non Union GSS Rate of Pay: $21.11 - $23.57 PCN: RPTA01

The Opportunity

Position Summary:

• Under close supervision, and in accordance with established policies, procedures and care plans, performs a variety of routine client care support activities to optimize the functional abilities of residents. Duties may include
• assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), instructing craft classes, assisting with social events, group exercises and games. Responsible for other related duties as required.

Program Summary:

Complex Care – for frail seniors who require the care of an interdisciplinary team to maintain and improve quality of life in safe, comfortable and supportive environments. Carewest offers a mix of secured and unsecured units.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Graduation from Grade 12.

- Current and active Basic Life Support Provider CPR is required.

- PCA, Certificate in leisure activities or equivalent.

- Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Related experience in a hospital or continuing care facility is preferred.

- Geriatric experience is an asset.

- Program specific training/experience is an asset.
