Job Summary:

The Rental Fleet Specialist is responsible for managing the daily operations of Jim Shorkey Toyota's rental vehicle department. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, overseeing rental availability, maintaining fleet readiness, and executing administrative tasks in compliance with Jim Shorkey Auto Group policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Customer Service & Operations: Process rental vehicle check-outs and check-ins strictly following Jim Shorkey Auto Group policy. Verify customer identification, active auto insurance coverage, and credit card details prior to vehicle release.
• •Payment & Reservation Management: Handle rental reservations, optimize fleet availability, and process payments via cash, check, or credit card.
• •Fleet & Data Management: Maintain the rental database to track vehicle status, mileage, and required maintenance.
• •Claims & Repairs: Coordinate damage repairs and handle associated insurance claims and internal repairs for rental units.
• •Vehicle Preparation & Logistics: Perform light to moderate cleaning and fuel vehicles as needed to ensure rental readiness. Stage vehicles in designated parking areas and set up promotional signage.
• •Sales & Promotion: Actively promote the rental vehicle service to dealership guests and service department clients.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• •Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• •Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for visual vehicle inspection and management of database and insurance documentation.
• •Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• •Capability to perform physical tasks, including light vehicle cleaning, fueling, and lot staging.
• •Coordinate with service advisors to provide a smooth rental hand-off and return process.
