Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for local import/export operations. Each day, you will supervise performance of customs brokers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions business in Malaysia . Main stakeholders are ABB valued customers & partners .

You will be mainly accountable for:

• •Acting as point of contact for customs brokers in case of clarification needs (e.g., regarding valuation or classification of products).
• •Auditing customs brokers regarding the correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and archiving.
• •Coordinating and managing end-to-end logistics execution for customer and project orders, ensuring timely delivery, cost optimization, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• •Collaborating closely with Supply Chain, Project Management, Procurement, Sales, and Finance teams to resolve logistics challenges and supporting business objectives.
• •Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics performance, reduce lead times, optimize transportation costs, and improve service levels.
• •Ensuring compliance with ABB policies, trade compliance standards, and local and international import/export regulations while maintaining accurate logistics records and reporting.

Qualifications for the role

• •Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, International Trade, Operations Management, or a related field.
• •Experience in logistics and supply chain operations within the Power Products, Electrical Equipment, Energy, or Industrial Manufacturing sectors (e.g., Switchgear, Compact Substations, Distribution Transformers, Motor Control Centers, or related products).
• •Familiarity with project logistics, oversized cargo handling, and international freight management.
• •Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
