Responsibilities

Providing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support while taking ownership of complex production incidents across a rich suite of in-house trading applications

Systematically tracking repetitive support issues, designing automated workflows, and building custom tooling to transition manual operations into more automated and robust infrastructure

Modernizing monitoring, alerting, and reporting systems to ensure seamless execution of daily scheduled jobs and immediate visibility into platform health

Collaborating within the reliability team to serve as a key technical contact for the trading desk, directly partnering with traders, trade monitors, and core developers to address operational needs during market hours

Overseeing automated deployments, configuration updates, and participating in an on-call rotation with occasional weekend support

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, or a related field

At least 3 years of experience in production engineering or high-availability support

Strong engineering mindset with robust Python and Bash scripting skills used to replace repetitive, manual tasks with scalable automated workflows

Deep knowledge of Linux OS fundamentals, database query optimization (SQL), configuration management, source control (Git), and deployment pipelines

Proven track record of stepping beyond standard L1/L2 playbooks to debug complex, distributed system outages under time pressure

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively bridge engineering teams and fast-paced trading desks

Preferred Qualifications

Prior exposure to financial domain concepts, electronic trading, order management systems (OMS), or market data protocols
