Launch your career in traffic engineering as our Traffic Engineer, Early Career working alongside experienced engineers and project managers on projects for state DOTs and local municipalities. You'll build practical skills across signal design, maintenance of traffic, ITS, and more with mentorship and variety from the start. Your work will directly shape how people move through their communities.

What You’ll Do

Support traffic, roadway, and transportation engineering projects across signal design, signage and markings, maintenance of traffic, ITS, and traffic studies

Produce plans, specifications, and estimates using MicroStation and OpenRoads

Collaborate with engineering staff to solve technical challenges while meeting budget and schedule requirements

Skills & Experience

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program required

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern registration or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; experience with design programs like MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), Synchro or Highway Capacity Software a plus

Genuine interest in traffic engineering and improving traffic safety and efficiency

Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving
