JOB SUMMARY
Job Profile Summary
The Training Specialist is accountable for administering and maintaining the training database within our LMS. This includes course catalog, curriculum, calendar, enrollment, completion, and testing maintenance and standardization. They will serve as the focal point for the Training Team's reporting of key performance indicators and metrics. This role is responsible for the scheduling and logistical support of training and facilities in collaboration with the Training Coordinators for technical training programs.
- Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Administers the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Records, analyzes and reports training survey and evaluation data
- Maintains and verifies personnel qualification records within the LMS
- Creates/completes enrollments with the LMS
- Procures supplies, materials, training aids, and vendor services for the Training Team
- Maintains the Training Calendar
- Maintains the Training Community of Practice/SharePoint site
- Provides logistical support and centralization for the Training Team
- Manages the day-to-day scheduling, recording, and reporting of training
- Creates, maintains, organizes and files training records
- Schedules and analyzes usage of training facilities
- Analyzes usage of the company training catalog
- Recognize over/under utilization of training resources
- Utilizes the Training Community of Practice to communicate training needs, opportunities, solutions, evaluations, and best practices
- Provides status reports regarding all technical training taking place in the organization
- Administers the procurement process for the Technical Training Team
- Reduce potential delays between training and qualification completion, documentation, and recording
- Education
- Associate's Degree in Adult Learning, Business, Communications, Human Resources, Environmental Health and Safety or Engineering Sciences and/or the following job related experience:
- Work Experience
- Minimum of 2 years system administration experience required
- Experience with a broad range of educational media, tools and techniques preferred
- Experience in the oil and gas industry a plus
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to: utilize Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Lectora, Camtasia, Sharepoing, and an LMS
Skills in: verbal and written communication
Ability to: facilitate and present
Ability to: be highly motivated and a self-starter
Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information and conduct oral presentations
