Summary

This TRAINING TECHNICIAN position, is located within the Air National Guard (ANG) Wing Force Support Squadron (FSS), supporting Commander's Support Staff (CSS) and Orderly Room (CCQ) operations at the Group/A-Staff level and is part of the CA 146 AW.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION Indefinite appointment cannot exceed 5 years. Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the TRAINING TECHNICIAN, GS-1702-9, is to plan, schedule, control, and monitor the status of equipment maintenance; and to assist a higher-graded Production Controller. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.

Qualifications

TRAINING TECHNICIAN, GS-1702-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level experience in: knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures; Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures; Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies; Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts; Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: Compliance Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Education and Training Program Administration Program Management

Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work required OR have a combination of education and experience. (Only graduate education in excess of the amount required above may be used.) When there is a positive education or certification requirement, or you are using education to qualify as a substitution for experience, copies of transcripts (unofficial) and/or certificates are required at the time of application to verify that you meet the educational/certification requirement or substitution. Failure to provide transcripts and/or certificates at the time of application will result in automatic disqualification. Only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education may be credited.
