We are looking for an experienced Transaction Monitoring professional to lead and grow our monitoring function across acquiring and issuing. You will bring a proven track record of managing team and building monitoring capabilities, strong analytical and hands-on SQL skills, and direct experience in an acquirer or PayFac environment, with a solid understanding of acquiring transaction monitoring and portfolio-level fraud risk. Team Leadership

• * Proven leadership experience in transaction monitoring, including direct management of teams.
• * Strong acquiring experience is mandatory, specifically within an acquirer or Payment Facilitator (PayFac) environment.

Fintech background

• * Experience limited to merchant-side fraud monitoring is not sufficient for this position.
• * Solid understanding of card payment processing, acquiring risk, fraud prevention, and transaction monitoring.

Hard skills

• * Hands-on technical skills, including SQL proficiency and the ability to independently query and analyse transaction data.
• * Practical experience developing, implementing, and optimising transaction monitoring rules and fraud detection strategies.

* AI proficiency: confident hands-on practice with AI tools (Claude, Codex etc), AI-agents implementation into workflow.

Soft skills

• * Strong understanding of card scheme requirements (Visa and Mastercard), fraud monitoring programmes, and related risk indicators.
• * Experience managing operational fraud investigations and escalations.* Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable risk management decisions.
