Develop practical, scalable transaction structures aligned with commercial objectives and the firm’s tax risk parameters across all participating capital sources, including flagship funds, co-investment vehicles and K-Series capital.

Review and provide strategic direction on tax diligence, structuring analyses, financial models and transaction documentation prepared by external advisors, identifying key issues and driving focus toward material matters.

Review and advise on tax-related provisions in transaction documents, including purchase agreements, partnership agreements, and financing arrangements, in coordination with Legal and external counsel.

Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Compliance, Operations and external advisors to support efficient transaction execution and implementation.

External Advisor Management & Cross-Functional Coordination:

Serve as primary liaison between deal teams and external tax advisors for U.S. transactions, overseeing scope, timelines, deliverables, and priorities while ensuring practical, commercially focused advice.

Challenge assumptions, identify gaps and guide advisors and internal stakeholders toward efficient solutions aligned with key value drivers.

Communicate tax considerations clearly across internal functions and support knowledge sharing initiatives to improve execution consistency.

Portfolio & Strategic Support:

Partner selectively on transaction-adjacent tax matters affecting portfolio investments, including restructurings, integrations, internal reorganizations and exit planning.

Support broader strategic and operational initiatives relevant to KKR’s private markets platform and transactional tax function.

QUALIFICATIONS
