We are seeking a creative UI Developer with a passion for building intuitive, polished user experiences to support our Technology team. We are seeking a UI Developer with strong experience in React, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and front-end architecture. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining responsive, accessible, high-performance user interfaces for our customer-facing and internal applications. You'll work closely with product, design, and back-end engineers (who work primarily in .NET Core and AWS) to turn ideas into seamless digital experiences. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, can work independently, has a strong eye for detail, and contributes to front-end architecture and UI standards across teams. This position will play a key role in shaping how millions of customers interact with our financial services products.

Essential Functions

Design, develop, and maintain modern, responsive web applications using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

Build reusable, well-structured component libraries and contribute to a consistent design system.

Translate wireframes, mockups, and design specs (e.g., Figma) into pixel-accurate, accessible user interfaces.

Manage application state and data flow using tools such as Redux, React Query, Context, or similar.

Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and microservices built on .NET Core and AWS.

Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser/cross-device compatibility.

Ensure UI accessibility (WCAG) and usability best practices are followed.

Contribute to mobile experiences using React Native as needed.

Implement secure front-end coding practices aligned with financial services industry standards.

Participate in front-end architecture discussions and help define UI standards and best practices.

Collaborate with product, design, business, and cross-functional technical teams.

Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, including unit and component tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar).

Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical leadership on UI-related matters when needed. Required

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on front-end/UI development. • Expert-level experience with React, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.

Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling approaches (Sass, CSS-in-JS, Tailwind, or similar).

Experience building responsive, mobile-first, and accessible web applications.

Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.

Familiarity with front-end build tools and workflows (Webpack, Vite, npm/yarn).

Experience with front-end testing frameworks and practices.

Experience using Git and Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools.

Strong knowledge of front-end security best practices (XSS, CSRF, secure authentication flows).

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with React Native for mobile application development.

Working knowledge of C# and .NET Core to collaborate effectively with back-end teams.

Exposure to AWS services (S3, CloudFront, Lambda, etc.).

Experience with Next.js or other React frameworks.

Experience building or maintaining a design system or component library.

Background in financial services or other regulated industries.
