• POSITION AVAILABLE — Team Manager, Underwriting
• The Underwriting Team Supervisor with SteadPoint Insurance Group will be responsible for acting as a team lead within the Underwriting department. The Underwriting Team Supervisor will work closely with the Director of Underwriting to develop and apply Underwriting policies and procedures to guide our Underwriting team and book of business. The Team Supervisor will have an in-depth understanding of the SteadPoint strategy and business appetite. They will use all available resources to make appropriate individual and portfolio risk decisions. The Underwriting Team Manager will be responsible for the profitable growth of the SteadPoint book of business, utilizing underwriting policies and guidelines, rating manual rules and insurance laws and regulations.

• JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• → AGENT/BROKER RELATIONSHIPS: Develops producer relationships to build pipeline, agency intelligence, and drives performance to meet and exceed results.
• → PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT: Manages a book of business by analyzing the portfolio, identifying areas of opportunity for improved growth, profit and diversification, and executing marketing plans to increase market share with assigned Agencies. Keeps current on state/territory issues, regulations and trends.
• → RISK SELECTION: Evaluates the business applying for insurance by identifying and assessing risks; determining policy terms and conditions; presenting the proposal to the agent/broker and successfully negotiating through the sale.
• → LEADERSHIP: Guide and mentor underwriters in both technical and professional skills. Act as a referral resource for risks that are within their respective authority. Review Underwriting files for proficiency and throughout the Underwriting process.
• → CONTINUIOUS IMPROVEMENT: Actively participates in continuous improvement by fully engaging in department meetings, generating suggestions, following appropriate procedures and work principles, participating in problem solving activities, and other methods to support the work of the team.

• JOB DESCRIPTION SALARY RANGE:
• $110,000 - $150,000

• SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• → Bachelor's degree.
• → Preferred 10+ years of property/casualty underwriting.

• → 5 years mimiumn reqiured in workers' compensation.
• → CPCU designation strongly desired.
