The Analyst/Associate, AREX Client Services supports the ongoing servicing and operational functions of the Ares Real Estate Exchange (AREX) platform. AREX is Ares' real estate exchange solution that enables investors to defer capital gains taxes through a 1031 exchange into a diversified portfolio of institutional-quality real estate investments.
This role is responsible for delivering a high level of service to financial advisors, investors, and internal business partners by supporting investor onboarding, account maintenance, operational processing, and transaction-related inquiries. The Analyst/Associate serves as a key point of contact throughout the investor lifecycle and plays an important role in ensuring accurate processing, timely communication, and an exceptional client experience while contributing to ongoing process improvements across the AREX platform.
Revised Essential Job Duties
Provide high-quality service and operational support to financial advisors, investors, qualified intermediaries, and internal business partners via phone and email.
Serve as a primary point of contact for investor and advisor inquiries regarding AREX accounts, investment processing, account maintenance, and general program information.
Support investor onboarding activities, including application review, documentation collection, account setup, and status tracking.
Partner with Legal, Compliance, and internal business teams to gather, review, and organize documentation related to account transfers, ownership changes, and other investor account maintenance activities.
Gather, review, and organize trust, LLC, partnership, and corporate documentation to support investor onboarding and ongoing account servicing requirements.
Maintain accurate investor and account data within internal systems, including Salesforce and other operational platforms.
Partner with Product Specialists, the Closing Team, Operations, Compliance, Fund Administration, and other internal stakeholders to facilitate timely resolution of investor and advisor requests.
Communicate proactively regarding account status, outstanding requirements, operational updates, and processing timelines.
Monitor work queues and operational workflows to ensure requests are completed accurately and within established service levels.
Assist with quality control reviews, reporting, and operational initiatives designed to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance the client experience.
Participate in departmental projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
Support the distribution of investor communications related to tax reporting, including annual tax documents and other required investor notices.
Revised Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in client service, operations, transfer agency, account administration, financial services, or investment management.
Experience working with financial advisors, investors, or high-net-worth clients preferred.
Familiarity with trust, LLC, partnership, and corporate entity documentation preferred.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Professional verbal and written communication skills with a strong client service orientation.
Ability to research issues independently and communicate solutions effectively.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and build strong working relationships.
Interest in investment products, real estate, and alternative investments.
Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other operational platforms preferred.
Ability to learn and adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Compensation
The anticipated rate for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus.
$65,000 - $80,000
