Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Co-op student to join our team. This position offers hands-on experience in audit and assurance engagements across various industries. You’ll work closely with senior team members to support client engagements and develop key technical and professional skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is specifically available for UVM GSB students.

Responsibilities:

• •Assist in performing audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in a variety of industries
• •Prepare working papers and document audit and assurance procedures in accordance with firm standards
• •Perform account reconciliations and analytical procedures
• •Conduct research on accounting and tax issues and assist in drafting client correspondence
• •Participate in client meetings and site visits, as needed
• •Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation
• •Collaborate with team members to meet engagement deadlines and deliver high-quality work

Qualifications:

• •Enrolled in a Bachelor of Accounting program (3rd or 4th year preferred)
• •Intention to pursue CPA designation is a strong asset
• •Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (ASPE/IFRS and audit/tax concepts)
• •Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word
• •Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• •Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities
• •Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
• •Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment

Working Conditions:

• •Ability to sit and use computers for extended periods of time
• •Ability to provide own transportation for traveling to client assignments
• •This position starts in January and ends at the end of April
