About Vasco

Vasco is the revenue context layer for AI agents. The product was built around one idea: confident is not the same as correct, and revenue decisions get made on confidence all the time. We structure CRM, billing, calls, and support data into a semantic layer where every metric is sourced, every definition is locked, and every answer is deterministic, then build agents that take the manual busywork off people's plates.

Our cofounders Guillaume and Seb already built and sold one startup together; today they are building the product they wished they had. Vasco's mission is to enable builders and GTM leaders to build a revenue engine that moves the business forward on data they can trust.

About the role

Our CEO and cofounder sets Vasco's product direction, and you bring the customer's reality into how we frame, shape, test, and ship it, so the squads building it start from what customers need and do. You'll be our UX researcher, reporting to Seb, our CTO, and working inside our product squads. You'll take part in product shaping sessions with our designers and engineers and bring customer evidence to each one. Twelve months in, our squads make their calls with customer evidence in hand, and the way you work with them is the model we repeat across the team.

We're open to different levels of seniority; however, this is not an entry-level position: you'll set up your own customer access, run research without a panel or an ops team, and own the quality of the findings that shape our bets. We expect high autonomy and accountability at every level, and the scope you own grows with your experience. We'll meet you where you are, and what matters is that you make the team better and more capable of deciding with customer evidence.

We're an early-stage startup working at the frontier of what agents can do in GTM. The path is often foggy, so you should be ready to bring clarity to it with your team, juggle several topics at once, stay open-minded, and wear more hats than your title suggests. You're a strong collaborator who pulls people into your thinking, and you do your best work in the room with designers and engineers. You're AI-forward and you actively contribute to how we work with AI as a team. AI can make product work lonely, and we push back on that with close collaboration, a fun environment, and a team that stays human.

What you will do

Customer conversations: Set up and run interviews with the people who buy Vasco and the people who use it daily, and turn what you hear into input the squad uses that same cycle.

Direction in the real world: Join product shaping sessions with our designers and engineers, test the direction behind each bet against what customers need, and bring the evidence in, so each bet starts from customer reality.

Research sized to the decision: Deliver findings in days or weeks across several topics at once, including the inputs squads build and test against, like sets of real-world examples from customers and the market.

Prototype validation: Put prototypes in front of customers before we build, so each bet ships closer to what they need.

Fit and adoption: Check releases against what customers told us before they ship, then read adoption after: what gets used, what doesn't, and why.

A research model that scales: Build, with our product designers, a way of embedding research in squads that we can repeat as the team grows.

What we’re looking for

Experience. You bring 5+ years of relevant UX research experience in B2B software.

Customer evidence that changed a build. You've run interviews with B2B customers and can name a decision the team changed because of it, including a direction a founder or senior leader held.

AI in your daily work. You use AI tools in your own work and can show something you built or analyzed with them.

Collaboration at startup pace. You've shaped work side by side with designers and engineers, pulled people into your thinking, and run several topics at once in a small, fast-moving team.

Research sized to the decision. You've delivered short, decision-ready findings in days or weeks, and you know when a quick answer is enough.

Your own access. You've set up your own customer access and recruited your own participants.

What'll make you stand out

AI, agent, data, or revenue products. You've worked on one, or ramped into the domain.

Buyers and users. You've researched a product where the buyer and the daily user are different people.

Prototype tests. You've tested prototypes with customers and can name what the team changed.

Post-release follow-through. You've gone back after a launch, paired usage data with conversations, and explained why something wasn't used.

Why Vasco

Small, high-caliber team, with experienced founders still building alongside you.

Early-stage pace and real ownership: the problems are unsolved, the path isn't fixed, and your judgment and capabilities shape what happens next.

AI-forward, both in how we work day to day and in what we build for customers.

Real autonomy, with room to experiment, pick up new skills, and take on projects outside your role: nobody here is boxed in.

Compensation within the top of the national market, stock options for every team member, uncapped paid time off, generous parental leave, and 100% employer-paid health benefits for you and your dependents.

Where you’ll work

This position is hybrid in Montreal— three days in-person per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) at WeWork Place Ville-Marie in downtown Montreal.

Hiring Process

Discovery Call with our talent partner (30mins)

Hiring Manager Interview (45mins)

Technical Stage (Case challenge + 90mins Interview)

Final Interview with our CEO (30mins)

We want you to feel informed and supported at every step. You'll always know where you stand, and we encourage you to ask us anything along the way.

A note on AI: We use AI to help with note-taking during interviews. You can opt out anytime with no impact on your candidacy, and AI plays no part in our hiring decisions. On your side, feel free to use AI the way you would in the actual work, just use it thoughtfully. We're an AI company; we know polished AI output when we see it, and what we're really after is how you think and what you can do.

Background check: The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check before starting.

We hire on the strength of what you bring, regardless of who you are. Need an accommodation at any point in the process? Tell us at [email protected] and we'll make it work.
