Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Valve Technician. If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service, coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you!

Shift: Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm

Pay: Starting at $22 per hr, can pay higher based on experience

Responsibilities

As a Valve Technician, you will be responsible for the following, including, but not limited to:

Responsible for assembly of all automated packages

Follow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product

Follow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools, and equipment in the automation center

Courteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel

Professional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about automated packages

Troubleshoot automated packages, in house and in the field, to perform necessary work and repairs

Assist with developing automated valve sales training program

Perform functional automated valve testing, record, and store data

Work closely with inspectors to meet customer demands

Willingness to travel up to 25-40% is required. Travel may include overnight stays for field service projects and support at other Ferguson locations

May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

3 to 5 years experience is preferred but not required

Safety release Valve, other valve & actuator industrial experience highly preferred

Must be at least 21 years of age .

Valid state issued license is required .

Follow all DOT standards and regulations

Must currently have, acquire , and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.

Basic knowledge of computers

Ability to read and understand customer technical data and schematics

Ability to multi-task and meet order deadlines

Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control

Be goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines, build relationships, and enjoy a team atmosphere

Possess a positive attitude

Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

A self-motivator and have an ambition to succeed

Enthusiastic, courteous, and articulate

Ability to learn quickly

$16.53 - $29.22 -

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
