VCT Homeroom Engineer

Position Description

• •VCT development (Hydraulics, structural, dynamics design work), lead VCT design, create DFMEA and DVPR, analyze test and simulation data.
• •Work closely with global members (manufacturing, product, validation, quality group) to develop new VCT products
• •Work with suppliers to learn and develop new manufacturing processes
• •Support global application team and projects.
• •Provide support for manufacturing / quality / supplier development investigation of global VCT application team when needed.

Experience/background

• •Bachelor/Master Degree on Mechanical engineering or similar degree is preferred
• •More than 10years of experience in engineering field is preferred.

・ Work experience as engineer or development engineer for automotive engine component is preferred.

・ Understands the fundamentals of automotive components

Skill

• •Fluent in Japanese
• •Understands and can follow product design procedure
• •Works diligently and is positive in learning new products

・ Action oriented. Can work proactively on its own

・ Has the skill to communicate across different groups (within and outside of Product Engineering)

・ Can report to the manager at a timely manner.

・ Has the necessary PC skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)

• •Capable of holding engineering explanation and discussion with BorgWarner global team. Capable of understanding and expressing in English.
• •Has a good understanding of hydraulics, dynamics, structural design, controls and GD&T.
