Role Summary
We are looking for a Business Development Associate to identify, onboard, and scale high-potential brands on Amazon. This role owns the end-to-end seller acquisition funnel—from prospecting brands to enabling their first phase of growth on the platform (0–6 months).
The ideal candidate combines strong business development skills with analytical thinking to help brands launch successfully and achieve early revenue traction on Amazon.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Acquisition
- Identify and onboard high-potential brands and manufacturers across priority categories.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective sellers.
- Pitch Amazon’s marketplace value proposition and close onboarding partnerships.
- Negotiate commercial and operational terms for successful seller launches.
Seller Launch & Onboarding
- Guide brands through seller onboarding, account setup, and catalog launch.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure catalog quality and operational readiness.
- Support brands in launching initial product selections with high-quality listings.
Early-Stage Seller Growth
- Own the first 3–6 months of seller performance post onboarding.
- Advise brands on pricing, promotions, inventory planning, and selection expansion.
- Drive actions that improve traffic, conversion, and sales velocity.
Performance Tracking
- Monitor key metrics such as selection launched, revenue growth, conversion rate, and inventory availability .
- Use data insights to identify growth opportunities and operational gaps.
Key Success Metrics
- New brands onboarded
- Active ASINs launched
- Revenue generated by newly onboarded sellers
- Time to first sale
- Seller growth within first 6 months
- Seller retention and engagement
Basic Qualifications
- 0–3 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or marketplace growth
- Strong prospecting, pitching, and negotiation skills
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret performance metrics
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with brands, manufacturers, or sellers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in e-commerce marketplaces or seller ecosystems
- Familiarity with catalog management and marketplace dynamics
What Success Looks Like
- Build a strong pipeline of high-quality brands
- Successfully onboard and launch multiple sellers
- Enable newly launched brands to achieve early revenue growth and stability
