- Amazon Canada's Hardlines team is seeking a self-driven Vendor Manager to join our dynamic team. Vendor Managers work directly with strategic vendors to enhance value, selection, and convenience for our customers while driving profitability and topline performance across their categories.
- About the Role
- As a Vendor Manager, you'll leverage customer obsession and data-driven analytics to develop creative solutions that drive business growth. You'll manage key manufacturer relationships on Amazon.ca and collaborate with cross-functional teams including site merchandising, buying, pricing, inventory management, operations, online marketing, and finance to optimize performance for our vendor partners.

- Key job responsibilities
- Lead Musical Instruments category and brand relationship for Amazon.ca
- Drive business growth through strategic vendor and brand relationship management
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor terms
- Optimize selection, catalog management, and inventory levels
- Generate forecasts and manage product launches
- Develop and execute pricing strategies
- Conduct detailed analytical deep dives to identify growth opportunities
- Own P&L performance for your category
- Collaborate cross-functionally to elevate customer experience
- A day in the life
- As a Vendor Manager, you'll start your day reviewing key business metrics and addressing any immediate vendor issues. You might spend the morning analyzing performance data to identify growth opportunities before joining a negotiation call with a strategic vendor. After lunch, you'll collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to plan upcoming promotions, then meet with finance to review pricing strategies. Throughout the day, you'll respond to vendor inquiries, coordinate with cross-functional partners, and continuously look for ways to improve selection and profitability.

Basic qualifications
- - Bachelor's degree
- - 3+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- - 2+ years of market research analyst, product manager, or equivalent experience
- - 2+ years of doing one of several roles: quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, pricing, marketing or e-commerce experience
- - Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
Preferred qualifications
- - 3+ years of doing one of several roles: management consulting, investment banking analyst/associate, or brand manager role at leading consumer packaged goods company experience
- - Experience in financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, marketing, business development, consulting, negotiation or supply chain

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D insurance), Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and other resources to improve health and well-being.
