Position Summary
The Internal Medicine Client Care Coordinator is the primary point of contact for clients navigating a specialty internal medicine caseload — from referral through diagnostics, treatment, and follow-up. The ideal candidate has hands-on vetmed floor experience and is comfortable translating clinical information for clients while keeping the internal medicine schedule running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the main liaison between clients, referring veterinarians, and the internal medicine care team
Schedule appointments, rechecks, and diagnostic procedures in collaboration with the clinical team
Communicate clearly with clients about diagnoses, treatment plans, and next steps, escalating clinical questions to the doctor as needed
Manage incoming referrals, ensuring records and diagnostics are received prior to appointments
Support clients through chronic or complex cases, including difficult or emotional conversations
Prepare cost estimates, discuss financial options, and process payments
Maintain accurate documentation in the practice management system
Required Qualifications
Hands-on veterinary medical experience working on the floor (e.g., as a veterinary assistant or technician) — required
Working knowledge of veterinary terminology, diagnostics, and treatment workflows
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain clinical information clearly to clients
Ability to stay calm and empathetic with clients during high-stress or emotional situations
Strong organizational skills, comfortable managing multiple cases and priorities at once
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a specialty or referral practice, particularly internal medicine
Experience handling client financial conversations, estimates, or payment plans
Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Salary : $19.00 - $23.00/hour, based on experience

Base Pay
$19 — $23 USD
