Join a Friendly and Established Practice
All Care Veterinary Centre is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse or Student Veterinary Nurse due to qualify and register with the VCI in 2026 to join our welcoming team on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
Whether you're an experienced nurse seeking your next opportunity or a soon-to-qualify Veterinary Nurse looking to take the first step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a long-established, community-focused small animal practice where patient care and client service are at the heart of everything we do. We are proud of the supportive and collaborative culture we have built and are committed to helping every team member develop and grow in their role.
Our experienced team provides an excellent environment for learning, mentorship, and career development, making this a fantastic opportunity for nurses at all stages of their career.
The Role
This is a varied and rewarding position offering exposure to all areas of first-opinion small animal practice. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills across surgical nursing, medical nursing, inpatient care, consultations, client communication, and the day-to-day running of a busy practice.
In this role, you will play an integral part in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting both medical and surgical cases from admission through to discharge. Your responsibilities will include assisting with surgical procedures, monitoring anaesthesia, caring for medical and surgical inpatients, supporting nurse consultations, providing client education and maintaining accurate clinical records. You will also contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the practice, working closely with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of patient and client care are maintained.
The role can be tailored to your level of experience. Experienced nurses will have the opportunity to take on greater autonomy and responsibility across a varied caseload, while newly qualified nurses and student nurses due to qualify in 2026 will benefit from the support, mentorship and encouragement of an experienced team committed to helping you build confidence and develop your clinical skills. Regardless of where you are in your career, you will be joining a welcoming environment that values collaboration, continuous learning and professional growth.

We welcome applications from nurses at all stages of their career who are eager to learn, develop and make the most of the opportunities available to them. You'll be organised, adaptable and comfortable managing a varied workload in a busy practice environment, while maintaining attention to detail and a positive attitude.
