- Become an Urgent Care Veterinary Technician at Scout Veterinary Urgent Care – Westchester
- Scout Veterinary Urgent Care is looking for an experienced, compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team in Westchester, IL . Help provide accessible urgent care for pets while supporting pet parents through unexpected moments with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
Please note this role will train in Wheaton and transfer to our Westchester location.

Who You Are
A licensed CVT in Illinois (Not required, but preferred)
3+ years of experience in a veterinary clinical setting
Strong technical skills and comfort with urgent/emergent cases
Proficient in medical math calculations (drug dosage/unit conversion)
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Experience in emergency or urgent care environments (Preferred)
Familiarity with cloud-based veterinary software (Preferred)
Interest in mentoring and leadership development (Preferred)
Key Responsibilities
Perform technical procedures including radiology, venipuncture, catheter placement, sedation monitoring, and laboratory testing
Assist in triage, patient stabilization, and urgent care treatments
Administer medications under veterinarian supervision
Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners about care and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate medical records and support digital documentation
Mentor veterinary assistants and contribute to a positive team culture
Uphold Scout’s standards for safety, empathy, and clinical excellence

Scheduling: This is a full-time position requiring availability for Scout’s A/B rotating schedule; we’re only able to consider candidates who can fulfill the full-time schedule as assigned.
