Full-Time Veterinary Technician
Located in Livingston, Texas, Livingston Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for pets and livestock throughout the community and surrounding areas. The hospital offers comprehensive services including wellness and preventive care, dentistry, diagnostics and imaging, surgery, urgent care, and pharmacy services, while also providing specialized care for large animals such as horses, cattle, and pigs. With a dedicated team committed to treating every patient like family, Livingston Animal Hospital strives to provide personalized care in a welcoming, supportive environment.
We are currently seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience, be comfortable with surgery and dentistry, and be available for rotating Saturdays and Sunday on-call duties.
Qualifications
- Previous Veterinary Technician experience required; 3+ years preferred
- Veterinary Technician certification/registration is preferred but not required
- Experience in a mixed-animal or exotic practice is a plus
- Strong surgical experience preferred, including anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, and patient recovery
- Comfortable working with routine, urgent, and emergency cases
- Strong patient handling, restraint, and nursing skills across a variety of species
- Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced clinical environment and prioritize multiple patients
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, adaptable, and willing to take initiative
- Compassionate approach to patient care and client communication
- Willingness to participate in rotating Saturday shifts and mandatory Sunday on-call coverage
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods and safely lifting and restraining animals
