About the role:

Lead the development and management of Diageo's strategic partner portfolio to maximise enterprise value and business outcomes, accelerate enterprise transformation and strengthen the company's external partner ecosystem.

The strategic partnerships manager is responsible for developing trusted executive relationships with key strategic partners, leading complex commercial and transformation initiatives, and ensuring partnerships deliver measurable business outcomes. Working closely with Strategy, Product Groups, Procurement, Legal, Finance and other enterprise functions, the role provides strategic partnership leadership while enabling Product Groups to retain accountability for operational delivery and service performance.

The role may manage a portfolio of strategic technology, business service or innovation partners, with portfolios evolving over time in line with Diageo's business priorities.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Partnership Management

Develop and manage executive relationships across an assigned portfolio of strategic partners, establishing joint business plans, governance frameworks, executive engagement and long-term value creation strategies.

Strategic Transactions & Commercial Leadership

Lead the strategic structuring of major partnership initiatives including business case development, partner evaluation, commercial strategy, negotiations and executive decision support.

Commercial Value & Performance Management

Drive commercial optimisation through benchmarking, value realisation, contract optimisation, performance reviews and identification of opportunities to improve cost, capability and business outcomes.

Governance & Executive Engagement

Establish enterprise governance across strategic partnerships through executive steering committees, Quarterly Business Reviews, performance scorecards, risk management and structured issue processes.

Ecosystem Strategy & Market Intelligence

Monitor external markets, emerging technologies, partner capabilities and ecosystem opportunities to inform Diageo's strategic partnership strategy.

Ability to build and lead complex strategic partnerships, balancing commercial, operational and transformation objectives while creating long-term enterprise value.

Executive Influencing & Customer Management

Build trusted relationships across senior business leaders, Product Groups, Procurement, Finance and external partner executives, influencing decisions across the organisation.

Enterprise & Ecosystem Thinking

Understands how external partnerships give to enterprise strategy, innovation and transformation, with the ability to connect internal business priorities to partner capabilities

Qualifications and Experience Required:

· Experience leading strategic partnerships, major supplier relationships, alliance management or complex business-to-business commercial relationships.

· Experience leading large commercial, sourcing, outsourcing or transformation initiatives.

· Strong commercial acumen with experience developing cases, evaluating investment opportunities and negotiating complex commercial arrangements.

· Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and lead cross-functional initiatives across large organisations.

· Experience working with multiple business functions including Technology, Procurement, Finance and Operations.

· Strong analytical, communication and executive presentation skills.

· Degree qualified in Business, Technology, Finance or a related subject area. MBA or relevant commercial/procurement qualifications desirable
