Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

About This Role

As a group therapist, you will spend the majority of your time with our patients facilitating evidenced based groups using modalities like CBT, DBT, and ACT. We are seeking new and experienced clinicians with a passion for delivering dynamic and informative groups for our patients. Our virtual programs meet the needs of modern healthcare, providing flexibility for both patients and clinicians while increasing access to fundamental care.

What You'll Do:

Providing group therapy to patients in a safe and therapeutic milieu

Developing effective therapeutic group relationships that promote positive change in patients

Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies

Relaying relevant clinical information to treatment team during daily rounds and as needed

Developing program material and adjusting group therapy content, as needed, to fit group needs

Engaging in crisis management, as needed

Creating and updating treatment plans

Charting in our electronic medical records system

Participating in professional development activities

This position may also include meeting with patients individually for case management

Who You Are:

Are a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist with clinical experience conducting intakes, individual therapy, and group therapy

Have knowledge and experience of group dynamics utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies

Have experience with patients in crisis

Have prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting

This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, your years of experience, type of experience, location, and education/certifications. Compensation

$47,000 — $65,000 USD

Compass Health Center is a recognized leader in crisis-level mental health, bringing passion, connection, and patient-centered care to the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient space (PHP/IOP). Based in Chicagoland, we serve hundreds of patients every day, ranging from ages 5 through adulthood, in our onsite facilities or through our flourishing virtual programming. Compass fills a critical gap between outpatient and inpatient care through an intermediate level of Behavioral Healthcare.
