Are you an experienced School Social Worker dedicated to making a profound impact on students with learning differences? Join Parallel's mission-driven team to support elementary, middle, and high school students for a district assignment in Georgia. Starting November 2, 2026, this full-time role (1.0 FTE / 37.5 hours/week, EST) focuses on delivering Tier 2 and Tier 3 counseling services for mild/moderate and at-risk student populations in a fully remote setting.
What You’ll Do
Provide critical direct and indirect social work services to elementary, middle, and high school students and their families, with a primary focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 counseling services for mild/moderate and at-risk populations.
Collaborate across school or IEP teams to develop comprehensive, tailored treatment plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that incorporate measurable social work goals.
Serve as a systemic expert by offering staff critical insights into the cultural, familial, and societal factors that influence student behavior, academic performance, and overall well-being.
Lead mental health and behavioral interventions by designing positive behavioral strategies, tracking progress via Panorama, and performing comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations as caseload needs expand.
Support families and school staff by providing parental support and guidance to facilitate successful school adjustment, and training educational staff on behavior management techniques and direct support as required.
What You’ll Need
Clinical & Educational Expertise
Active Clinical Social Worker license (LCSW).
Valid Georgia state certification or license for K-12 School Social Work (GA SSW).
Minimum of one year of full-time, on-site school social work experience (internships excluded).
Demonstrated proficiency in all National SSW Practice Model domains.
Expertise in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) frameworks, counseling, and psycho-educational evaluations.
Technical & Communication Skills
Strong communication skills, specifically tailored for engaging with diverse student populations, families, and school staff.
Tech-savvy approach with preferred experience conducting telehealth services via virtual meeting platforms.
Experience with Panorama software for data collection, progress monitoring, and survey tracking.
Previous experience with remote social work is highly desirable.
Fluency in additional languages is a significant asset.
Remote Setup & Availability
Access to a private, secure workspace with a reliable computer, webcam, and high-speed internet connection.
Full-time availability for 1.0 FTE (37.5 hours per week) aligned with standard Georgia school hours (EST) starting November 2, 2026.
Completion of Parallel onboarding prior to assignment start date (stipend provided for onboarding).

Compensation
The rates below apply to 1099 opportunities and are based on the provider’s primary service delivery state.
Georgia: Starts at $46/hour
