POSITION SUMMARY

At Aroya Cruises, the VR & Arcade Staff is in an integral part Cruise Department, focused on delivering a vibrant and "Remarkably Arabian" experience. This role involves supporting the Entertainment Technical Manager and Cruise Director in the delivery of the Entertainment product to our Guests inside the ship by hosting and assisting on the VR and arcade equipment.

The VR & Arcade Staff must be knowledgeable in operating the entire VR/ Arcade machines and equipment. They must excel in, trouble shooting and guest service while maintaining a collaborative and positive team environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Expertise in Entertainment Delivery: Demonstrates understanding and ability to host and assist on the VR and arcade equipment, able to rectify or trouble shoot basic machine malfunctions and ensuring a positively, vibrant and culturally immersive guest experience. Must be able to provide quality service and be able to enhance the experience for guests onboard.

VR & Arcade Management: Prepares the VR/ Arcade venues for business each day. Ensures the stipulated venue opening and closing hours are strictly adhered to. Ensures the daily opening and closing procedures of the arcade are followed. Maintains daily log book and submits daily operational report to the Entertainment Technical Manager

Revenue Promotion: Identifies and promotes all revenue centers onboard in an

organic and genuine manner, tailored to the expectations of Arabian travelers.

Guest Engagement: Provides courteous service to guests and attends to queries and resolves all guests’ complaints immediately. Partners with The Shore Excursions Team to escort guests on tours during port calls, enhancing guest engagement.

Communication: Maintains ongoing communication with Entertainment Technical Manager and fellow team members to ensure alignment and address any needs or concerns. Ensures any feedback or ‘guest complaints’ are directed to the right areas for positive and efficient resolution.

Equipment Management/Maintenance: Monitors out-of-order machines and adopt a pro-active maintenance approach reporting to Entertainment Technical Manager any equipment malfunctions or problems. Maintains library of all the machines and simulator manuals, spare part manuals and other reference material. Conduct a weekly calibration of VR/Arcade machines and create a report sheet for reference. Plans and supervises regular maintenance checks on the VR / Arcade machines and ensures that the maintenance log is updated regularly

Inventory Management: Conducts monthly inventory counts and daily checks on inventory.

Grooming Standards Compliance: Always adheres to grooming standards in alignment with brand expectations and guidelines.

Safety and Compliance: Responsible for performing Safety, Environmental, and Emergency Response duties as assigned, in accordance with Aroya Cruises' protocols. Attends briefing and meeting as required. Enforces the company policies and procedures at all times.

Time Management: Effectively practice proper time management to prepare, execute and break down set ups and venues for assigned activities and events.

Guest Satisfaction: Monitors Guest Satisfaction scorecards in relation to the broadcast operation and service provided. Follows up on necessary points raised or observed

Embarkation/Disembarkation: Supports with guest flow and general assistance of the Hotel Department to ensure the guests receive a ‘remarkably Arabian’ welcome and farewell.

Revenue Promotion: Identifies and promotes all revenue centers onboard in an organic and genuine manner, tailored to the expectations of Arabian travelers.

Additional Duties: Performs any other duty which may be reasonably requested by the Entertainment Technical Manager or Cruise Director

SKILLS

Demonstrates strong command of both verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Arabic is desired.

Capable of addressing issues effectively and developing appropriate solutions.

Exhibits strong customer service skills

Outgoing, Proactive and Team Player.

Able to communicate and socialise well with peers and guests.

Must have a positive and pleasant work attitude.
