Warehouse Material Handler

Fronius Canada - a subsidiary of Fronius International, is currently looking for a warehouse material handler permanent position to join our warehouse team at Mississauga head office.

Your responsibilities will include:

• •Preparing BOL for carriers like UPS, FedEx, Purolator, Day and Ross, Freight simple.ca, etc.
• •Preparing goods for shipping on parcels, pallets and ships products and materials
• •Recording shipment data, including weight, dimensions, shipping charges, tracking numbers
• •Receiving, unpacking, checking, counting, booking-in and storing products and supplies
• •Requesting quotes from carriers for shipping orders, comparing and selecting the best one, case by case
• •Making claim reports for damages and discrepancies, directing them to the right department
• •Completing shipping/receiving reports and storing the records
• •Occasionally operating forklift, storing pallets on multiple levels of racks up to 19 feet
• •Maintaining forklift truck or other devices in the warehouse by completing preventive maintenance requirements
• •Performing general physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, climbing, balancing, walking, stooping
• •Handling and moving objects - using hands, arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things
• •Participating in the annual inventory counting
• •Arranging the tools at the end of workday and maintain a clean and organised workspace
• •Other related duties as required

To be successful in this role, you will fulfil the following criteria:

• •Positive attitude, team player, self-motivated, process oriented, highly productive, reliable, reporting skills and respect are key traits we expect from the new colleague.
• •Ability to accurately count items and differentiate between very similar ones
• •Typing speed around 40 words per minute, experience with: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook applications
• •Good arithmetic skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• •Ability to stand and actively work for eight hours
• •Excellent interpersonal and written skills
• •Perform duties in an office environment and a warehouse setting
• •Ability to understand technical terms related to warehouse operations
• •Ability to occasionally lift up to70 lbs, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body, arms and/or legs
• •High school diploma with 2 - 4 years experience in the field or related area
• •Working knowledge of ERP Systems, Baan preferred
• •Demonstrated ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
• •Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple scenarios at any given time
• •Ability to work alone and in a team setting
• •Work within a multi-cultural environment where sometime several languages are spoken
• •Flexibility on changing working hours when necessary or to work overtime when required
• •Good written and spoken English
• •Permanent residence in Canada, living in: Mississauga, Brampton, Milton, Etobicoke areas preferred.
