About Phoenix Laser Solutions

With five locations across the Midwest, Phoenix Laser Solutions is the largest YAG laser weld house in North America. We use laser welding, TIG welding, and cladding to repair, modify, and assemble high-precision components, including injection molding dies, tooling, and aerospace and medical parts.

Position Overview

We are hiring a Waterjet Operator to join our 2nd shift team in Meadville. You'll set up and run a waterjet to cut parts from metal plate and other materials. Machine shop or CNC experience is a plus. We'll train the right candidate on our waterjet. Attention to detail and a safety-first mindset matter most.

Responsibilities

Set up and run the waterjet to cut parts from drawings and programs

Load and unload material

Select the right program, cut settings, and nozzle for each job

Measure, verify, and document parts against blueprint tolerances

Deburr and clean finished parts

Keep the machine running: check and refill garnet, change nozzles and orifices, and clean the tank

Track material and label parts so jobs move to the next step

Keep the work area clean and safe

Report machine issues and help improve shop processes

What We're Looking For

Experience running a waterjet, CNC mill, plasma, or laser cutter is a plus

Able to read blueprints and use calipers and micrometers

Basic computer skills to load and select programs

Careful, dependable worker who follows safety procedures

Self-starter who works well independently with minimal supervision

Position Requirements

Lift and move up to 50 lbs; use a crane or forklift for heavier plate

Stand for extended periods

Wear required PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection

Work in a wet environment with machine noise

Available for overtime during peak workloads or special projects
