Description

The Web Developer is an integral part of the Software Development Team. They develop and maintain custom applications that support both internal and external stakeholders. They will see a project through the entire Software Development Life Cycle utilizing both new and established technology.

The Web Developer will work alongside other team members to design, develop, and deploy applications for our clients. They will work alongside other Web Developers and collaborate with AS400 Developers, Data Integration Specialist, and an IT Project Manager when designing solutions. The Web Developer will report to the Software Development Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coding, documenting and testing all code produced
  • UI Development using HTML and CSS
  • Build and Deploy Tasks
  • Troubleshooting during integration and system integration testing
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Deployment of applications to a virtual server fronted with Apache Tomcat

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required in IT or Engineering
  • 2+ Years of Experience
  • Good Technical Skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt as technology changes

Preferred Skills

  • Java Web Development (Java 8)
  • Database Fundamentals such as SQL
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Amazon Web Services Experience with S3 and CloudFront.
  • Experience hosting applications in a virtual environment
  • Experience with both SOAP-XML and RESTful Webservices
  • Uses version control tools such as GIT or SVN.
  • Software Testing

Bonus Skills

  • Familiarity with Action-Based Web Frameworks
  • Familiarity with Persistence Frameworks
  • Experience with DB2, SQL Server, Clover ETL, Windows Server, AS/400, iSeries
  • Experience with Java Based tools such as Eclipse JDE, JUnit, Lucene, and SOLR
  • Experience with Cloud Architecture
