Weekend Shift Saw Operator

Description

As a Saw Operator, you'll play an important role in manufacturing the high-quality air filters our customers rely on every day. This position is responsible for setting up and operating production saw equipment to cut filter media and related materials to established specifications while maintaining our standards for quality, productivity, and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• •Set up, adjust, and operate production saw equipment to cut filter media and related materials in accordance with production specifications
• •Review work orders and production specifications to ensure materials are cut accurately and meet established requirements.
• •Produce materials within established dimensional tolerances while maintaining Filterbuy's quality standards.
• •Monitor equipment performance and make routine adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
• •Maximize material utilization by minimizing scrap and waste during the cutting process.
• •Maintain established production standards while ensuring the accuracy and quality of finished materials.
• •Identify equipment malfunctions, material defects, or production issues and report concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• •Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company safety standards.
• •Support other production operations as needed to meet business and production objectives

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• •High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• •Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• •Experience operating production saw equipment or similar industrial machinery preferred.
• •Proficient in using tape measures and precision measuring instruments, including rulers and squares, to verify dimensions against production specifications.
• •Ability to understand and accurately perform work in accordance with work orders, production specifications, and written work instructions.
• •Strong attention to detail, reliable attendance, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• •Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods (up to 8–10-hour shifts).
• •Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry materials weighing up to 35 pounds.
