  • Die Vergütung erfolgt je nach Aufgabenübertragung und Erfüllung der persönlichen Voraussetzungen bis zur Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L. Arbeitsaufgaben:
  • Durchführung von Forschungsaufgaben zur Untersuchung der mechanischen Eigenschaften von teilkristallinen Polymeren: Zusammenhang mit mikroskopischer Dynamik und Struktur
  • Design, Durchführung und theoretische Analyse von Experimenten
  • Präsentation und Veröffentlichung von Forschungsergebnissen
  • Betreuung und Anleitung von Studierenden und Doktoranden in Forschungsaufgaben
  • Mitarbeit an Lehraufgaben und allgemeinen Aufgaben in der Fachgruppe Die Möglichkeit zur wissenschaftlichen Qualifizierung wird gegeben.

Voraussetzungen:

  • Abgeschlossenes wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium in Physik, Chemie, Polymerwissenschaften oder Materialwissenschaften (Masterniveau)
  • abgeschlossene naturwissenschaftliche oder ingenieurwissenschaftliche Promotion
  • Vorkenntnisse auf dem Gebiet der Polymerphysik und einschlägige experimentelle Erfahrung (mechanische Eigenschaften, Rheologie und/oder Röntgenstreuung)
  • Erfahrung mit der Erstellung wissenschaftlicher Veröffentlichungen
  • Sehr gute Kenntnisse der englischen Sprache, Deutschkenntnisse erwünscht
  • Engagierte, selbstständige und zielorientierte Arbeitsweise
  • Bereitschaft zur Zusammenarbeit innerhalb der Fachgruppe

The Faculty of Natural Sciences II, Institute of Physics, at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg is seeking a full-time

Research Assistant (Postdoc) (m-f-d) for a fixed term starting on 01.11.2026.

Remuneration will be determined based on job duties and responsibilities and will be aligned with the fulfillment of listed personal requirements, up to pay grade E13 under the TV-L (Tarifvertrag für den Öffentlichen Dienst der Länder – 'German Public Service Pay Agreement for the Federal States').

Job Responsibilities:

conduct research on the mechanical properties of semicrystalline polymers, with a particular focus on the

relationship with microscopic dynamics and structure

design, perform, and theoretically analyze experiments

present and publish research findings in scientific journals and at conferences

supervise and mentor students and doctoral researchers in their research activities

contribute to teaching activities and general tasks within the research group

The opportunities for further academic and scientific qualification are provided.

Requirements:

a completed university degree (Master’s level) in Physics, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or

a related field

a completed doctoral degree (PhD) in natural sciences or engineering

prior knowledge in polymer physics and relevant experimental experience (mechanical properties, , rheology

and/or X-ray scattering)

experience in preparing and publishing scientific publications

excellent command of English; knowledge of German is desirable

a committed, independent, and goal-oriented approach to work

willingness to collaborate within the research group
