Position Summary

The Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney is often the first attorney an injured worker meets. You'll lead intake consultations with prospective clients, assess their claims, explain their rights in plain terms, and convert strong cases into signed representation. From there, you'll manage a high-volume caseload through resolution, backed by a dedicated support team and consistent case flow, so there's no need to generate your own business.

What You'll Do

Intake Consultations

  • Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients, in person and by phone
  • Evaluate claim viability, coverage issues, and potential case value during consults
  • Explain the workers' compensation process, timelines, and what clients can expect
  • Build trust quickly and sign qualified clients to representation
  • Partner with the intake team to prioritize and follow up on new leads

Case Management

  • Manage a caseload of workers' compensation cases from inception through resolution
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and appeals
  • Develop case strategy and prepare cases for hearing
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence

Client Communication

  • Maintain consistent, proactive communication with clients throughout their case
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, and the court

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license and good standing with the State Bar of Nevada
  • Comfortable leading client consultations and building rapport with injured workers
  • 2+ years of workers' compensation experience (preferred)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
  • Strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential job functions in compliance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with workplace standards
  • Ability to communicate clearly by phone and in person during client consultations
  • Ability to travel locally to hearings and mediations

Compensation & Benefits

  • $110,000 to $135,000 per year, based on experience
  • Free employee-only coverage for Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
  • Option to purchase Long-term & Short-term Disability coverage
  • 401(k) Retirement plan with employer match (available once eligible)
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Supportive, collaborative work culture with quarterly team events
