Yard Associate

Heritage Family of Companies is seeking a Full-time Yard Associate who will be responsible for supporting daily yard and warehouse operations, including material receiving, stocking, and organization, while adhering to safety standards and providing excellent customer service. *Up to $28 an hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• •Move, stock, and organize products in yard and warehouse to keep inventory accurate and easy to find.
• •Load/unload materials from customer and company vehicles safely and efficiently.
• •Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment while following all safety rules.
• •Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
• •Must follow all safety guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and using proper lifting techniques.
• •Check/verify orders, complete shipping & receiving paperwork, and work with team members to meet delivery deadlines.
• •Assist with other warehouse or yard tasks as needed.

Physical Requirements

• •Ability and to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds continuously throughout the workday.
• •Ability to move heavy products in busy warehouses and/or outdoor yards, using equipment such as forklifts, front end loader or pallet jacks, and involves active physical work.
• •Work performed in an outdoor setting/warehouse environment in conditions like noise, hot or cold temperatures

Minimum Qualifications

• •Must be at least 18 years old.
• •Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds throughout the workday.
• •Experience loading operating a front end loader or other large construction machinery is a plus
• •Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• •Prior experience in hands-on, outdoor/indoor yard/warehouse, operational work or similar environment.
• •High school diploma or equivalent of education and experience
• •Must pass background screening and drug screening.

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $19.00 to $23.94 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. SRS Distribution offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs. Depending on the role, associates may also be eligible for performance-based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
