Yard Driver - Class A CDL

$21/hour | Full-Time | 1st Shift | Waterloo, IA

A-Line is looking for a dependable Yard Driver to help keep our Waterloo operation moving. This is primarily a yard-driving position, with some small local runs as needed.

What You'll Do

Move and position trailers throughout the yard for loading and unloading

Drop and hook trailers in various areas of the yard

Safely maneuver flatbed and tanker trailers

Make occasional small local runs as needed

Stage trailers and equipment for daily operations

Back trailers into designated areas

Clean and prepare trailers for loading and unloading

Perform basic trailer inspections

Communicate with plant and operations teams to coordinate trailer movement

Follow all DOT, company, and safety requirements

Help keep the yard organized and operating efficiently

Perform other driving and yard duties as needed

What We're Looking For

Valid Class A CDL required

Safe driving record

Previous CDL/commercial driving experience preferred

Comfortable backing and maneuvering trailers in tight spaces

Experience with flatbed or tanker trailers is a plus

Comfortable working around heavy equipment and an industrial environment

Dependable and safety-minded

Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Willing to perform hands-on work, including cleaning trailers

Good communication and teamwork skills
