Summary

As an Account Director at PR Newswire focusing on the Singapore market, individuals operate as a senior Individual Contributor , dedicating 90% of their time to "farming" —managing, retaining, and expanding high-value existing client relationships across diverse industries—while maintaining the confidence of a "hunter" (10% of time) to uncover strategic growth, upselling opportunities, and whitespace expansion within existing accounts and conglomerates.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Take full individual ownership of key Singapore accounts to drive high retention rates and ensure clients maximize our corporate workflow solutions—including newswire distribution, content strategy services, media monitoring, insights, and social media tools.

Maintain regular, proactive contact with key stakeholders to understand their evolving corporate PR, marketing, and digital requirements while upholding the highest service standards.

Achieve or exceed individual quarterly and annual retention, renewal, and growth targets through strategic upselling and cross-selling.

Leverage networking and internal stakeholder mapping to identify and secure new business streams, whitespace opportunities, or subsidiary brand adoption within existing client ecosystems (10% hunter focus).

Keep a pulse on industry trends, gather product feedback, and monitor competitor activity within the Singapore market.

Provide regular weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc sales updates to leadership—including account performance, forecasting, and product insights—while collaborating smoothly with internal editorial, operations, and product teams.

Desired Skills and Experience

5–10 years in enterprise account management, client success, or sales as an individual contributor within SaaS, subscription solutions, media, PR, communications, or marketing.

Consistent history of meeting or exceeding retention, upselling, and commercial KPIs.

Deep familiarity with corporate PR workflows (newswire distribution, media monitoring, analytics).

Consultative style with the gravitas to independently influence C-suite stakeholders.

Highly motivated, accountable, and capable of thriving autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Fluent in English; proficient in MS Office and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
