Account Management & Business Development

  • Develop and grow business across assigned markets in Southeast Asia.
  • Build strong relationships with existing customers while actively identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and understanding customer requirements through proposal development, negotiation and closing.
  • Deliver revenue, margin and account growth objectives.
  • Develop relationships with industrial end users, OEMs, EPCs, system integrators, distributors and other channel partners.
  • Work closely with Ecolab/Nalco teams and existing distribution channels to develop new opportunities. This reflects the regional operating model discussed for the position.

Technical & Solution Selling

  • Understand customers' processes, operating challenges and water-treatment requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations and customer discussions together with technical and field teams.
  • Analyze customer system specs (flow rates, feed water quality, target contaminants, operating capacity) to recommend optimal ion exchange resin grades (cation, anion, mixed bed, chelating, specialty resins).
  • Coordinate resin performance monitoring, resin sampling, and analytical testing with laboratory teams to resolve customer operational issues.
  • Support product trials, performance monitoring and troubleshooting as required.
  • Provide product and application guidance to customers and partners.

Market Development & Operations

  • Build market knowledge across key industrial segments, with particular focus on petrochemical, refinery and power-generation customers.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity and emerging customer opportunities.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast through CRM.
  • Work closely with supply chain, customer service and logistics teams to support order fulfilment.
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences and customer engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, chemistry, environmental science or another relevant technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales, business development or account management within resin sales, industrial water treatment, water-treatment equipment, specialty chemicals, process technologies or related industrial solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience developing new business and managing complex B2B customer relationships.
  • Experience selling to industries such as petrochemical, refinery, power generation, chemicals, microelectronics or other industrial/process sectors.
  • Good understanding of industrial water-treatment technologies.
  • Experience with ion exchange resins, RO, EDI, filtration, membranes, UV or related solutions would be advantageous.
  • Experience working with OEMs, EPCs, system integrators, distributors and/or industrial end users is preferred.
  • Existing relationships within relevant industrial markets would be an advantage.
  • Comfortable working independently across multiple markets and developing new customer relationships.
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory.
