We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking an Account Specialist who will be responsible for building strong customer relationships and helping existing clients grow by realizing more value from Geotab’s fleet management and telematics solutions. This foundational role offers the opportunity to grow your account management skills in a collaborative, technology-focused environment. If you love helping customers succeed and making a measurable impact, and are keen to join an industry leader — we would love to hear from you!

What you'll do:

As an Account Specialist, your key area of responsibility will be managing a portfolio of approximately 150–200 customer accounts across Canada and the U.S., with coverage aligned to Pacific Time, building strong relationships, supporting retention, and identifying opportunities for account growth. You will be responsible for proactive customer outreach, holding approximately 10–15 customer meetings each week, and learning about customers’ evolving needs so they get lasting value from Geotab. You will also need to use customer and product usage data to identify opportunities, recommend tailored solutions, reduce churn, and prepare for business reviews, while developing knowledge of Geotab’s broader ecosystem, including the SDK, Marketplace, and Big Data analytics. You will need to work closely with Sales to identify opportunities for account growth, Solutions Engineering to connect technical capabilities to customer needs, and Product Development to share customer feedback and support product improvements.

To be successful in this role you will be curious, resilient, organized, and customer-first, with the communication skills to navigate complex issues, explain technical value clearly, and follow through on commitments. In addition, the successful candidate will have the analytical skills to turn data into insights and the confidence to use AI tools in their daily workflow, applying sound judgment and checking their output.

How you'll make an impact:

Cultivate and nurture robust relationships with assigned Geotab customers.

Act as the primary point of contact, addressing client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.

Proactively engage with clients to understand their evolving needs and ensure ongoing satisfaction.

Employ a consultative approach to identify and unlock opportunities for account expansion.

Analyze customer usage patterns and data to recommend tailored solutions that maximize the value derived from Geotab’s offerings.

Address intricate issues, coordinate cross-functional resources, and ensure seamless service delivery.

Proactively identify and mitigate potential challenges, fostering long-term client retention.

Utilize data analytics to uncover insights into customer behavior and usage patterns.

What you'll bring to this role:

A post-secondary diploma or degree, or equivalent experience; a specialization in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field is an asset.

3–5 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year as an individual contributor in a consultative sales function and at least 1 year in consulting, business operations, or program management.

Technical sales experience is required; telematics experience is an asset.

Experience developing customer relationships and accounts, with the diplomacy and judgment to understand customer needs and recommend viable solutions.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and understand technical and business requirements.

Proficiency with CRM tools and Google Workspace applications such as Sheets, Docs, and Slides.

Ability to support customers across Canada and the U.S. with Pacific Time coverage; domestic or international travel of up to 20% may be required.

If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this role! Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
