The Virginia Commonwealth University Health System (VCUHS) Administrative Residency role, provides first year master's prepared candidates with hands-on administrative experience and exposure to current challenges facing the health care industry today.
The administrative residency allows the resident to gain unparalleled exposure to a specific department within a multi-disciplinary, complex health care organization.
Residents will gain experience through project-based work, partner with preceptors and leadership to understand and develop characteristics of leadership, and participate in cross-functional learning within the system.
In addition, the residents will have an opportunity to network with current and past Administrative Fellows, colleagues and leaders throughout the organization.

- Education/training REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree and enrolled in an accredited Master’s program in Health Care Administration

- Facilitate groups and teams effectively and promote the VCU Health System’s processes, utilizing proven tools and methods.
