POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Governance and Analytics, the Advisor, Procurement Governance and Systems has critical responsibilities for strengthening our procurement framework across North America. The primary objectives are to enhance efficiency, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance to internal policies and external regulations.The role is responsible for identifying, designing, implementing, and maintaining improvements for our processes, systems, tools, and reporting for the entire procurement and third-party management lifecycles. Manage the third-party risk and compliance programs. Maintain sustainable procurement and ethical practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the AI transformation and maintenance for the Procurement Group, as well as global AI initiatives requiring Procurement involvement;
  • Transform and automate procurement and supplier processes by optimizing our current ERP and S2C systems, Google Suite, AI tools, Data Studio, and other tools to drive simplification and efficiency;
  • Analyze procurement data (e.g. spend, contracts, vendor data, supplier performance, supplier risks) to identify trends, opportunities, anomalies, or areas of non-compliance. Prepare reports and propose solutions to assist in decision making;
  • Manage the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework and processes required to be managed by the Procurement Group. Utilize benchmarking and industry best practices to lead and manage assigned projects;
  • Monitor and report on major supply risks and ensure appropriate actions are taken by key internal stakeholders to address;
  • Manage TPRM emergencies with leadership and internal stakeholders as they arise;
  • Manage the relationship, agreement, and administration with the third-party service providers of our risk monitoring tools;
  • Maintain our sustainable procurement programs for science based targets, supplier diversity, local procurement, and supplier code of conduct;
  • Continuously monitor and advise on best practices in order to seize opportunities for improvement in sustainable procurement and supplier risk management;
  • Act as a point of contact for monitoring initiatives with suppliers and our internal sustainable procurement stakeholders;
  • Prepare and distribute performance reports for activities managed;
  • Maintain and communicate business processes in English and French to ensure users have current instructions to perform the required business processes;
  • Manage the internal and external communications for the Procurement Group;
  • Ensure proper change management is performed when changing or implementing business processes;
  • Work closely with departments to understand their business requirements and ensure they are aligned with the procurement strategy and policy;
  • Contribute to the reinforcement of the self-service approach and the accountability of stakeholders and suppliers in the procurement and supplier processes;
  • Perform other related tasks, similar to the main characteristic tasks mentioned in this description;

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Engineering. Supply Chain or Project Management certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar position or relevant experience.
  • Fluent in French and English, both oral and written. The candidate must be able to communicate in English and French with internal and external stakeholders in Canada and the United States;
  • Project Management;
  • Hands-on experience identifying, implementing, and managing Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Machine Learning (ML) applications;
  • Familiarity with low-code/no-code process automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Zapier, Python for workflow automation);
  • Functional knowledge of Source-to-Pay (S2P) & ERP Ecosystems;
  • Expertise in Google Workspace administration/workflows and Microsoft. Knowledge of Workday and Ivalua are important assets;
  • Knowledge of Looker Studio (Data Studio), Power BI, or Tableau;
  • Strong relational database querying skills (SQL) and advanced Excel modeling;
  • Understanding of third-party lifecycle risk assessment;
  • Possess good teamwork and interpersonal skills;
  • Highly meticulous in the completion of tasks;
  • Organized and able to work on multiple deliverables simultaneously;
  • Very good knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
