The Manager, Procedural Supply Chain Inventory leads procedural inventory operations across one or more locations to ensure inventory readiness, supply continuity, and accurate inventory control that supports safe, uninterrupted patient care. This role manages inventory investment and performance through PAR optimization, demand planning, replenishment strategies, and reduction of waste, obsolescence, and expirations. The manager partners with clinical and operational leaders to drive standardization, utilization stewardship, and reliable day-of-service product availability. This position uses analytics and technology to monitor performance, mitigate supply risk, and implement sustainable process improvements while leading and developing a high-performing team.

  • The Manager, Procedural Supply Chain Inventory leads procedural inventory operations across one or more locations to ensure inventory readiness, supply continuity, and accurate inventory control that supports safe, uninterrupted patient care. This role manages inventory investment and performance through PAR optimization, demand planning, replenishment strategies, and reduction of waste, obsolescence, and expirations. The manager partners with clinical and operational leaders to drive standardization, utilization stewardship, and reliable day-of-service product availability. This position uses analytics and technology to monitor performance, mitigate supply risk, and implement sustainable process improvements while leading and developing a high-performing team.
  • Job Duties
  • Leads procedural inventory operations to ensure supplies, implants, and procedural products are available when and where needed to support procedural readiness and patient care.

Develops and executes inventory optimization strategies (e.g., PAR management, segmentation, replenishment parameters, and demand planning) to balance service levels with working-capital stewardship.

Ensures inventory accuracy and control through cycle counts, reconciliations, audits, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and item master integrity in applicable inventory systems.

Partners with clinical leaders, physicians, nursing, and Value Analysis to support standardization, utilization management, and evidence-based inventory decisions across assigned sites.

Oversees specialty inventory programs including consignment, loaners, vendor-managed inventory (VMI), and implant traceability processes to ensure accountability, compliance, and financial accuracy.

Monitors and mitigates supply risk including shortages, backorders, allocations, recalls, and disruptions; escalates issues and coordinates recovery plans to prevent operational impact.

Uses dashboards, KPIs, and analytics to evaluate performance, identify trends and risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across people, process, and technology.

Leads, coaches, and develops team members; establishes standard work, training, and performance expectations to promote a high-reliability, customer-focused culture.

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years to 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain inventory, logistics, or distribution operations (preferably in healthcare/procedural environments).
  • 4 years of prior people leadership experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of multi-site inventory management practices, including PAR optimization, replenishment strategy design, and demand planning in complex operational environments.

Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive standardized processes across multiple locations while maintaining strong customer service and operational discipline.

Strong analytical capability to interpret inventory and utilization data, establish KPIs, and translate insights into sustainable performance improvements.

Proficiency with ERP/inventory management platforms and enabling technologies (e.g., barcode scanning, point-of-use systems, RFID, and reporting tools) to improve accuracy and productivity.

Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills to partner with clinical leaders, Value Analysis, vendors, and operational stakeholders to support standardization and readiness.

Working knowledge of regulatory and safety requirements relevant to healthcare supply chain operations, including recall management, traceability, and controlled inventory practices.
