Assistant Manager, Facilities Management

Temasek Laboratories@NTU (TL@NTU) undertakes research and develops strategic technologies in support of Singapore’s defence and security needs. We are seeking a Assistant Manager, Facilities Management to support the safe, efficient, compliant and sustainable operation of laboratory facilities across TL@NTU’s research centres, enabling the effective delivery of diverse research activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• •The role will manage day-to-day laboratory facilities operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, utilities readiness, safety systems, statutory equipment, access control, housekeeping, emergency readiness and compliance documentation.
• •The job holder will also support laboratory setup, renovation, upgrading, equipment installation, commissioning, decommissioning, space planning, handover documentation, procurement, vendor coordination, inventory management and service improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• •Applicants should possess a degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, Applied Science or a related discipline. Diploma holders with strong relevant experience may be considered.
• •Candidates should have relevant experience in facilities management, laboratory operations, engineering support, safety coordination or technical operations, with good knowledge of laboratory safety, facilities systems, contractor management, compliance documentation and stakeholder coordination. Strong communication, organisation, follow-through and problem-solving skills are essential.
• •Relevant certifications in Workplace Safety and Health, Risk Management, Fire Safety, first aid, Emergency Response, ISO 45001, bizSAFE or related areas would be advantageous.
